Christoph Cox | Sonic Flux

Christoph Cox is Professor of Philosophy at Hampshire College and Faculty at the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College. His books include Nietzsche: Naturalism and Interpretation (University of California Press, 1999) and Audio Culture: Readings in Modern Music (Continuum, 2004). He is currently writing a book about ontology and temporality in sound art from the 1960s to the present.

Christoph Cox discusses notion of sound as an anonymous flux that precedes and exceeds human subjectivity and intervention. Cox will focus on its manifestations in sound art from Edison to the present.
