Aidan Koch is known for an art practice that exists in tandem with her drawings and illustrations which are seen everywhere from The New York Times to self-published zines and graphic novels. On the occasion of the Nieves and Innen Zine Library at SI, Koch will lead a free group drawing workshop that will refresh the imagination by focusing on exploration, freedom, and practice, where participants will together work on still life drawing, collaborative sketching and other exercises. Aidan Koch is a multimedia artist working in New York City. She has released several graphic novels including Xeric Award winner The Blonde Woman and Impressions. Her work has been exhibited in New York, Antwerp, Paris, and Dallas. Her upcoming solo exhibition ‘Iris’ opens at Signal, New York, on August 27th.
