Dieter Roelstrate explores how many contemporary artists are turning toward the ceramic medium.

Dieter Roelstraete (b. 1972 in Belgium) is the Manilow Senior Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. He is currently preparing a survey show of the work of London-based Polish artist Goshka Macuga, scheduled to open at the MCA in December 2012.

An editor of Afterall journal and frequent contributor to Mousse Magazine, Frieze and Artforum, Roelstraete’s writing has appeared in numerous catalogues and art publications.
