Please join us for the launch of Thomas Hirschhorn from Graphic Design to Art, a groundbreaking study of the crossover relationship between art and graphic design in the work of widely acclaimed artist Thomas Hirschhorn by art historian Lisa Lee.

To celebrate the launch of the publication, Lee will be engaged in conversation around her analysis of this period of Hirschhorn’s work which has never before received sustained critical attention with critic and art historian Hal Foster.

Lisa Lee is Associate Professor of Art History at Emory University. She is the author of Isa Genzken: Sculpture as World Receiver. Together with Hal Foster, she coedited Critical Laboratory: The Writings of Thomas Hirschhorn (MIT Press).
Hal Foster is the Townsend Martin Class of 1917 Professor of Art & Archaeology at Princeton University. He is the author of What Comes After Farce? and Brutal Aesthetics, among other books. A member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, he coedits October, and writes regularly for The London Review of Books.
